Dr. Nathaniel Grant is a pioneering organ-transplant surgeon who takes risks that other doctors would perhaps not in order to conserve the lives of their patients. He works with his exwife, Kate Armstrong, with whom he's a relationship, an organ-donor coordinator. The arrogance and openness to execute procedures of grant causes one to butt heads with the hospital management. But his focus would be really on his connection with his occupation along with his patients, usually at the expense of his family.
