Even a U.S. satellite crash-lands near a small town in Utah, releasing a deadly plague that kills virtually everyone except two survivors, who may provide clues to immunizing the populace. A team of highly technical scientists is assembled to obtain a cure and block the spread of the alien pathogen as the military attempts to quarantine the area.
