The Day Today is a surreal British parody of television current affairs programmes, broadcast in 1994, and produced by the comedians Chris Morris and Armando Iannucci. It is an adaptation of the air programme About the Hour, that was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 between 1992 and 1991. Was composed by Morris, Iannucci, Steven Wells, Andrew Glover, Stewart Lee, Richard Herring, David Quantick, and also the throw. For the Afternoon Today, the writing team was joined by Peter Baynham, and Lee and Herring were replaced by Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews. To Day the main cast of About the Hour was retained for the Afternoon.The Day Today is made up of six episodes and a choice of five-minute slots recorded as promotion trailers for the sections that were longer. The six episodes were broadcast from 19 January to 23 February 1994 on BBC2. Today has won lots of awards, including Morris. All six episodes are on BBC DVD, having previously been issued to VHS.
