The New Avengers is a secret agent fantasy experience tv show produced during 1977 and 1976. It's actually a sequel to the 1960s series, The Avengers and was designed by original series producers Albert Fennell and Brian Clemens.The series cost # 125,000 a week to create at Pinewood Studios in England, was made by The Avengers Enterprises Ltd for the ITV network and was seen in 120 countries.A joint United Kingdom-France-Canada manufacturing, the series sees the experiences of John Steed because he and his group of"Avengers" fight evil plots and world domination. Where as in the original series Steed had always been tasked with a lady, at the new series he'd just two spouses: Mike Gambit, a premier broker, crack marksman and trained British artist, and Purdey, a former trainee together with The Royal Ballet who had been simply an amalgam of many of the best presents from Steed's female spouses at The Avengers.
