But surrounded by enemies including Egypt and its own allies under the rule of King David, Israel is united and prosperous. The King David favors his son, Solomon, as his successor, but a warrior, David's elder son Prince Adonijah, admits himself King. He openly announces Solomon to be his own successor, when David learns of this. Adonijah and Joab, his general, withdraw in anger. Israel prospers under King Solomon rule and can be viewed as a hazard to more tyrannical monarchs from the region. The Pharaoh of Egypt intends to cede the Queen of Sheba a Red Sea port in a plot. Sheba is always to seduce Solomon and present Sheban pagan worship in to Jerusalem. Meanwhile, the Prince Adonijah banished conspires with Pharaoh and will be given an army to conquer Solomon. The movie is a dramatization of events First Kings chapter 10 and 2nd Chronicles chapter 9.
